Valente I don't know if I wasn't in the mood for this type of book at this moment, or if it was the fact that the audio version was read by the author who did a lack luster job. Very few authors can pull off reading their own books, [a:Neil Gaiman|1221698|Neil Gaiman|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1234150163p2/1221698.jpg] is one and [a:Jon Ronson|1218|Jon Ronson|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1321593258p2/1218.jpg] is another.....very possibly solely because of their accents. They may bore the Brits to tears for all I know. If there are any others out there I can't think of them at this time.

I just couldn't keep focused on the story, partly because she read it so dryly.

Or maybe the book isn't actually any good. If I pick it up another day and am able to finish it I will then know.

Oh!! [a:David Sedaris|2849|David Sedaris|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1213737698p2/2849.jpg] does a fantastic job as well.....all other authors, please do yourselves a favor and pay a professional to read your books.
